To grab people’s attention, protesters used to write on their picketing signs things like, “SEX! Now that we have your attention, let’s talk about world peace.” That approach has been replaced with, “J-BEEBS! Now that we have your attention…” That’s what this young singer / dancer / romancer has done to the planet. He’s more attention-grabbing than one of our most primal urges. It takes a certain kind of talent to achieve his level of clout, to put it softly.

There aren’t many other stories of an artist being catapulted into a worldwide spotlight like Justin Bieber’s. It’s only been a few years and already it’s almost impossible to avoid the Bieber Fever. He has the 2nd most followed Twitter account with over 20 million followers, he has the most viewed AND most commented on video on YouTube for the music video for his song “Baby,” he was nominated for the Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album awards at the 53rd Grammy Awards, and he won the Artist of the Year award at the 2010 American Music Awards. To punctuate his already impressive resume, Forbes named Bieber the 3rd most powerful celebrity in the world in 2012. Not bad for a kid barely of legal age to buy a Lotto ticket in the US. Not bad at all.

Typically this is the point in a musician’s career where he begins to relax a bit. Take some time between albums, shorten the length of a tour. Justin Bieber is not such a musician. He’s still fresh with energy and enthusiasm due to his age and newness to the industry. So much so that he’s already on the cusp of releasing his third studio album called Believe. The first hit from the album is called “Boyfriend” and is already a wild success! It debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 521,000 digital downloads in its first week which makes it the second-highest-ever debut digital sales week in the United States. On top of that, the music video for the song broke the VEVO record for having the most views in a 24-hour period with over 8 million. It’s plainly obvious that The Beeb is working as hard as he was back on day 1 to keep his vast audience entertained.

As further proof of his dedication to his fans, he just released the dates for his US & Canada tour that will last from the end of September through the end of January and he’ll hit nearly 50 of the largest metro areas in North America – as long as they have a venue large enough to house the tens of thousands of screaming fans that will attend each stop. When dealing with an artist as hot as Justin is, it’s safe to assume that you can’t wait to purchase tickets if you’re even slightly interested in taking in a show.
