Music is a lot more fun when there is a wild child stirring things up. Christina Aguilera briefly made things “Dirrty” way back during her Stripped days. Pink’s always been a rebel and Katy Perry (and her outfits) can be outrageous, but Ke$ha claimed the wild child throne in 2010 when she burst onto the scene with “Tik Tok”. She flaunted her carefree, party lifestyle with the help of Auto-Tune, cutoff shorts and a bottle of Jack, bragging to listeners about her sexual conquests and irresponsibility. She exemplified YOLO (You Only Live Once) before YOLO even existed!

If “Die Young”, the first single from her new album, Warrior, is any indication, she has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. (‘Fun’ trivia to amaze your friends next time you hear “Die Young” at a bar: it was co-written by Nate Ruess of fun.)

Don’t be fooled though- Ke$ha isn’t content to remake the same style of songs for the rest of her career. On Warrior, she decreased her reliance on Auto-Tune and showcased her vocal talents against more rock-oriented music. Patrick Carney of The Black Keys lends some guitar work and Iggy Pop even shows up for a full-fledged duet. Talk about bridging generations!

Ke$ha is touring the holiday concert circuit this month – you can catch her in Tampa, Fairfax (Washington, D.C.) and Atlanta, but be prepared for the shortened sets that are usually part of these star-studded lineups. She doesn’t have any 2013 dates set, but you can bet she has a nationwide tour up her sleeve… or whatever it is she’s wearing today. Add her to your Artist Tracker today and leave the hard work to us- we’ll let you know as soon as dates are announced!
