Bon Jovi doesn’t need to live on a prayer these days – with over 100 million albums sold worldwide (yes, you read that right) and 30 years of staying power, it’s safe to say the band can pretty much do whatever it wants. The question is: What do Jon, Richie, Tico and David want to do? Continue to take over the world in the name of rock n’ roll, of course.

The band embarked on the aptly named Because We Can: The Tour in February; you have until April to catch them crisscrossing the U.S. before they jump across the pond in May. We’re not going to tell you what to do… but if you claim to be a self-respecting rock fan, you should check the tour out when it rolls into your town. Jon Bon Jovi definitely still has it – well, most of it. Sadly, the awesome 80’s metal perm has not survived the test of time. Jon’s voice sounds as strong as ever though – and along with the excellent musicianship with the other band members – that’s all that matters.

We already suspect most of you will go to hear your favorites (“Living on a Prayer” has to be among the top 5 sing-a-long songs of all time, right?) And, you may get super excited about the on-stage production, which at this show- it’s guaranteed to be stellar. But, we offer a word of advice: give the new material a chance!

The band’s new album, What About Now, comes out next Tuesday, March 12, and Jon is understandably proud of his work. Indulge him. Enjoy the new songs as much as the classics. Set lists usually consist of 25 to 30 songs, so trust us – you’re going to hear “You Give Love a Bad Name”, we swear, hold on to what you got, there’s nothing to worry about.

Because We Can: The Tour stops in Nashville, Cleveland and Columbus this week -don’t wait to find tickets!
