If you are squeamish about donating but still want to help out, this race is for you. A 5k is a good challenge for beginners and it benefits the San Diego Blood Bank. Win-win!
Are you ready for a fundraiser in typical Miami style? If so, come out to the Miami Model Citizens’ Divas for Doggies swimwear fashion show this Saturday night, June 29th, at the Shore Club. Models will be strutting their stuff in the latest swimwear, and what makes this bikini fashion show unique is that Divas for Doggies helps support Paws4You Rescue in their effort to raise funds for a much-needed new Miami pet shelter.

Curious about the Zumba craze? What better way to try it out than at the Zumba Fitness Happy Hour on Saturday, August 24th, benefiting The Ronald McDonald House Charities. The RMDH is a charity we support, as we have cooked and served dinner at our local house twice- but never have we Zumba’d for them! There will be two sessions, followed by happy hour, a silent auction and more festivities. All proceeds to go to The RMDH charities.

Try your luck at becoming a dodgeball master at the Pieces of the Puzzle Charity Dodgeball Tournament in Lewisville on July 10th. Round up a team of five, or brave it alone and sign up on your own. All proceeds go towards assisting low income families with back to school needs. This year’s goal is to help 25 Dallas-area K-12 students with uniform and supply costs.

From 6pm-8pm, every Tuesday until September 24th, join the Green Team at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Green Team is a dedicated group of volunteers who provide essential care to the park- including planting, mulching, and removal of invasive plants. Get a green thumb yourself and learn about gardening while keeping the park in tip- top shape.
