Atlantic City, NJ – Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival
How cool is the Grand Market at the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival? Taking place July 25th to July 28th, the fest features four days of eating, drinking and mingling with celebrity chefs- including Robert Irvine and Rocco Dispirito. But the can’t-miss feature is the Grand Market; a four-hour journey through an eclectic tasting village- a fabulous feast for foodies, for sure. The Grand Market is open the last three days of the event and you must be 21 or older.
Baltimore, Maryland area – Tomato Bash
On August 3rd, head over to Frederick, MD and grab a tomato, smash a tomato, toss a tomato, and repeat, repeat, repeat. You will not only create homemade “ketchup,” but also help raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Strangest fundraising event ever? Maybe! But sounds cool, no? There will be beer, music, and lots and lots of flying, mushy (nonedible) tomatoes everywhere. Don’t forget your goggles!
Memphis, TN area – Repticon Memphis Reptile and Exotic Animal Show
How about cold, as in cold-blooded? This next event is not for anyone with a fear of snakes- it’s Repticon Memphis on August 3rd and 4th at the Southaven Arena in Southaven, Mississippi! This major reptile expo will not only feature pets and supplies, but also free raffles, shows and live animal seminars for the whole family. Only for the bravest of brave, make sure to check out the venomous reptile area, featuring poisonous snakes from around the world.
San Francisco, CA – The Legends of the Summer Tour
San Francisco peeps, you cannot miss the The Legends of the Summer Tour with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z live at Candlestick Park on Friday, July 26th. I mean J.T. and Jay-Z- do we really need to say more? Make sure to get your tickets for this dynamic duo before they sell out, and be part of the “cool” crowd at Candlestick.
Little Rock, Arkansas – Movies in the Park
What’s more chill than watching a movie al fresco? Not much! And it’s not too late- while the summer may be winding its way into July, you can still catch four more family-friendly showings at Riverfront Park, including next week’s “Big” or “Finding Nemo” on July 24th. Bring the whole gang (pets as well), pack a picnic and make Wednesdays at sundown your family movie time.
