As you may have noticed, we've launched a major new feature on the site: a completely-revamped search query interface, that enables you to specify "what" and "where" in separate input fields.
What we've launched tonight is the first phase of a multi-phase project to enable very powerful location search for events. We'd love for you to try it out and let us know what you think.
Here are some guidelines for using the "Where" input box:
| If you type in . . . . | This is what the system searches for. . . . |
| new york | events in the greater New York City area |
| california | events in the State of California |
| rockville, md | events in Rockville, Maryland |
| canada | events in Canada |
| 92101 | events in the 92101 zip code (downtown San Diego, California) |
| qualcomm | events occurring at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego |
| [blank] | You can leave the "Where" input field blank if you wish, to search for events that match "What" anywhere in the world |
