New Feature: Recurrence

You can now create events that repeat or "recur" any number of times in the future. This is ideal for posting events that have regular hours on a repeating basis, for instance, exhbits at museums and galleries, or showtimes for plays, musicals, operas, etc.

You'll notice a new feature inside the Add Event form as shown below:

You can now specify whether the event you're posting repeats or not. If you indicate it does, you can specify how it repeats: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. And then you can indicate how often it repeas: forever, or after X times, or until a certain date in the future.

The net result of specifying recurrence for an event is that when a user views your event on the event's detail page, he or she will see recurrence information in the "when" section of the detals, for instance, as follows:

Likewise, recurrent events show up in a special way in search results. Rather than show 99 instances of an event that's repeating 99 times, for instance, we show you the one result, but also provide a little box and icon indicating that this event repeats:

I've noticed that since recurrent events have been added that the RSS feeds no longer work for any of my groups. Is this just a coincidence? I've submitted a couple of feedback/bug reports on this but haven't heard anything back. Is something that's being looked into?
