Company Name Change
This week we officially changed the name of our company from "EVDB, Inc." to "
Eventful, Inc." It'll take a few days for the name change to propagate all over the site, but it is official. We will continue to use "EVDB" to describe the core underlying technology platform upon which our API, and the Eventful site itself, are built. But we just love the name "Eventful" and everyone's been telling us they do too.

Eventful Demand News
In other news, Eventful Demand continues to roar ahead with usage. Fans have been busy: at lunchtime today we noticed that the total demand count was nearing 10,000. A few minutes of clicking reload, reload, reload on the browser showed the demand count go from 9998 to 9999... and then 10001! 10000 came and went in the blink of an eye.
More Events, More Variety
On the event front, we've been adding a lot more events all over the world. So have you! For instance: ever been to a dog show? There are over 6,000 of them going on in the US alone over the next year. Interested in wine tasting events? There are over 2000 coming up soon, all over the world. Are a fan of the SecondLife virtual 3D world? There are some 1800 events going on "in-world" in SecondLife in the next few days alone! Our music coverage continues to grow rapidly; we've got more than 30,000 musical events scattered all over the world, with more coming each day.
