Bruno Mars doo-wops on tour with some class-act hooligans
"It's better if you don't understand; just listen and have a good time," Says Bruno Mars - the man with the perpetual smile - on his music. Although, it'd be difficult not to understand his message with songs like "Just The Way You Are" and "Grenade." The man is singing about love and love lost. And, doing a proper job of it. Although, some that know him better than just by his falsetto voice say there's more to it. His co-producer was quoted as saying, "What people don't know is there's a darker underbelly to Bruno Mars." This may be evident from some of his other music such as "Liquor Store Blues" featuring Damian Marley.
He's currently on tour promoting his debut album doo - wops & hooligans. Earlier in the fall, he was opening for Maroon 5 when they played venues like the Santa Barbara Bowl, The Greek Theatre and the Arco Arena - mainly West Coast US stuff. But, then he split off and co-headlined a European tour with Travie McCoy where they performed in hot spots like Berlin's Magnet Club, Amsterdam's Melkweg and Stockholm's Göta Källare.
It may seem that Mars came out of nowhere co-writing, producing and performing on B.o.B's #1 "Nothin' On You" followed by Travie McCoy's increasingly popular "Billionaire." But, Bruno Mars will happily explain that his career today took a lifetime to build. Coming from a musical family in Hawaii, he's been all too familiar since just a boy with the thrill of applause and the heartache of criticism. But, he endured and went on to produce, write and perform some of the biggest R&B hits of today.
All there's left for Bruno to do is perform for his perpetually growing audience. Which might have something to do with his perpetual smile.
Wonderful blog! I definitely love how it’s easy on my eyes and also the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your rss feed which need to do the trick! Have a nice day!
