Eventful is calling all creative people who love music, film and everything interactive. We love the South by SouthWest® (SXSW®) Conference & Festivals (March 8-19, 2013). In 2013, the festival is back for its 27th year- and with a reputation of “the biggest and most anticipated convergence of all things music,” and the addition of film and interactive to accommodate industry growth- everyone who’s anyone in the music, film and interactive space is lobbying to go and this is where we need your help.
This year, SXSW is letting entertainment enthusiasts decide which submissions make it to the conference and festivals. As the leading venue of live events, entertainment and movies, this is the right place for Eventful to be in the mix and make a splash at this year’s conference- but we need your votes! Here’s what we submitted:
Eventful executed a digital marketing campaign for Vector management to drive ticket sales for country music star, Trace Adkins’ Songs And Stories Tour. The campaign included dedicated emails targeting country music fans in target metro areas as well as onsite and mobile display advertising. We had only one goal: to create buzz and sell as many tour tickets as possible. We had only one result: SUCCESS!
Vote for Eventful’s Music and Media Conference entry- just give us a thumbs-up here!
And don’t forget… keep checking back, we’ll share our film and interactive submissions with you too.
How Trace Adkins used social to fill the house!
The term “social media” is part of every musician’s marketing strategy. But let’s face it, Facebook and Twitter aren’t going to sell out any tour. Concert attendance continues to decline as a result of fewer shows and higher prices. Since there’s no single solution to a tour marketing strategy, what is the right recipe? With the explosion of mobile, how can people be most effectively reached on the go and are they really making purchases on their mobile devices? Is email marketing outdated or is it still an effective way to drive ticket sales? If we’re nominated to take part in this year’s festival, a panel of music industry experts and technological entrepreneurs will discuss the best mediums to connect with fans and drive ticket sales. Between email, web, mobile and social, we’ll help you discover where to invest your energy to gain the maximum ROI you’re looking for.
