      "Suicide: The Ripple Effect" is a feature length documentary film and MOVEMENT, currently in production, focusing on the devastating effects of suicide and the helping of millions heal & stay alive. June 26, 2019 7:00 pm screening,  Doors open @ 6:30 pm Nice International Film Festival - Winner Best Story International Black Film Festival - Winner Best Long Documentary Mental Health America - Winner Media Award Louisiana International Film Festival - Official Selection 2018 Woodstock Film Festival - Official Selection 2018 Visionary Honors Awards Ceremony - Best Documentary The film highlights the journey of Kevin Hines, who at age 19, attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Today Kevin is a world-renowned mental health advocate, motivational speaker and author who travels the globe spreading a message of hope, recovery and wellness. This film is part of a global mission to help reduce the number of suicides and suicide attempts around the world.  Through sharing stories of survival and recovery, we are creating signfican awareness of this health crisis, while helping people find the support they need to stay alive, heal and #BeHereTomorrow. What ages is the film appropriate for? The film is appropriate for 10 years and above. Our film carries a message of hope and healing.  If you are comfortable with your child seeing the official trailer, you should not have any concerns with them viewing the film. Even if you cannot attend the event, Gulf Bend Center welcomes your donations. Gulf Bend Center is a non-profit organization.  Donations defray the cost to promote The Ripple Effect, provide tickets to our community at no cost, and most importantly provide support to thise in need of services.
