      Preparing for an Armed Intruder Conference - Altoona, PA

      This signature event is Survival Mindset's biggest event of the year. Engage with speakers and survivors from Law Enforcement, Military, EMS, Fire, Emergency Management, Psychology, Legal, and Government.  Experience a real-time drill simulating a terroristic attack with a mock IED explosion and active killers. Put your training into practice as you consider your best options to stay alive and then assist with trauma, triage and transporting the casualties from a hot zone to a warm or cold zone.  An impressive line-up of subject matter experts will be working side by side with you answering your questions as you build muscle memory on how to respond. This will be a packed day that includes a working buffet lunch.  This event is open to everyone 18 and older. Lou Lusk Video Review Closing session SPEAKERS/FACILITATORS Stephen Willeford: Survivor and hero of the worst church shooting in the US. Stephen stopped the massacre at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs Texas. This included a high speed pursuit of the attacker. Once the assailant drove off of the road, Stephen covered his vehicle at gunpoint until the police arrived.  Pfc Ted Daniels: War Vet 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division and survivor of a Taliban attack. Pfc Daniels stayed in the fight in spite of being shot four times including having his rifle shot out of his hands.  Lt. Lou Lusk: 7 Tours and 29 years of military service between the Army and the Air Force. Lt. Lusk has survived 3 IED explosions and was part of the team that rescued Jessica Lynch from Iraq in 2003.  Sheriff Jim Ott: 26 years of law enforcement experience including nearly two decades as a police chief and is now serving is first term as Blair County Sheriff.  Mark Taylor: Director of Public Safety for Blair County including 911 Operations. Mark has committed his life to emergency management. Dr. Charles Gallo: Psychologist and subject matter expert on armed intruders. Dr. Gallo recently was one of the presenters to Pittsburgh City Council regarding firearms legislation.  Michael Antonio Giaramita Jr, Esq: Attorney Giaramita is one of the top Pennsylvania firearms law experts and popular US Law Shield presenter. He also hosts the weekly radio program Mike G. In The Morning -- The Law Matters.  Jessica Sorge: Paramedic and trauma instructor. Former public school teacher with a gift for educating on how to keep yourself and others alive after an attack.  Pastor David Bousquet: Pastor and self-defense instructor. Pastor David has rescued young people from gangs and in addition to being a full-time pastor, he has a passion for teaching civilians personal safety. Rick Capozzi: Nationally recognized subject matter expert on preparing for armed intruders.
