Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!

All of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.

Autumn has finally settled into the mountains, and we know you’re thirsting for some richer and fuller wines. And whether you’re looking for a value-priced house wine to sip by the fire or a bolder, more food-friendly option to enjoy with your favorite, slow-cooked stew, we’ve got you covered. Stop by, taste, learn, stock up and save 20% off on all of the featured tasting wines.

      1. 2018 Bodegas Borsao Macabeo/Chardonnay (Campo de Borja, Spain) – Bodegas Borsao makes some of Spain’s most ridiculous values. And this fresh, yet moderately rich white is a ton of wine for the money. Composed of equal parts Macabeo and Chardonnay, it’s straightforward and easy, with medium body, creamy fruit, and crunchy acidity. – James Suckling – 89 points

      2. 2017 Topiary Chardonnay (Franschhoek, South Africa) – This is one of South Africa’s most talked-about Chardonnay producers, and we’re pouring it for you all! Purchased in 2014 by acclaimed Burgundy producer Philippe Colin, this is splendid stuff. Wine Spectator says, “A broad, lightly toasted style, with creamed pear and apple fruit flavors that fold into a warm brioche and butter-accented finish. 333 cases imported.”

      3. 2018 Domaine du Prieure Bourgogne Rouge (Burgundy, France) – It is so key to know about your producer when buying Burgundy. Why? Because there’s a lot of bad stuff out there! And here’s a wine that out-performs it’s simple “Bourgogne Rouge” name. From 40+ year old vines in the village of Savigny-les-Beaune, this is a stunning wine that offers loads of class and sophistication for less than $20. It’s a rare bird indeed!

      4. 2018 Paolo Petrilli Motta Del Lupo (Puglia, Italy) – One of our favorite, certified organic, crowd-pleasing red wines is back and we love the new vintage. Paolo Petrilli specializes in the Nero di Troia grape, a specialty of Puglia. And while the grape tends to produce firm and structured wines, this one is charming and downright gulpable. Look for notes of mixed berries and think Pinot Noir meets Syrah meets Nebbiolo.

      5. Surprise Wine – We won’t be messing around this weekend. Nope, we’ll end with something large and in charge. Please note, we’ll only open 1 bottle of this one. Cheers!
