      Introduction to Beekeeping HB121

      This how-to class explores what you need to know before you begin beekeeping.

      Topics include:
      • Learn who lives in the hive and what they do
      • Examine and handle equipment and how to use it
      • Supporting honeybee well-being and productivity throughout the beekeeping seasons
      • Sample the variety of products from the hive to experience the results of the honey bees' work

      Students also have the opportunity to see honey bees in action in an enclosed observation hive. Instructor Bob Talkiewicz recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of keeping his own honey bees and is the producer of innovative beekeeping tools and related gifts through his company BeezerkBelts.com.
      This class meets for 2 Wednesdays, October 30 and November 6, from 6:00-8:00pm.
