      Reiki Level 1 for Family, Friends, and Caregivers MN582

      In this class, students will learn how to connect with and use Reiki Energy for self-treatment and the treatment of others. Reiki is a natural, gentle, powerful, non-invasive treatment that anyone can learn. Some things attributed to using Reiki are deep relaxation, a sense of well-being, and feeling of empowerment. There is instruction on giving Reiki treatments to individuals confined to a wheelchair or hospital bed using modified hand positions. Students will also practice giving a full Reiki session using a treatment table.

      • Introduction of Basic Anatomy and Physiology
      • Kenyoku
      • Giving Reiki to Pets
      • Clear and Program Objects with Reiki Energy
      • Giving Reiki to Plants and Garden

      Upon successful completion, students will receive a signed certificate from the instructor verifying that they have completed in-person Reiki Level 1 training. Students receiving a certificate are eligible to take advanced Reiki II. Instructor: Elise Johnsen is a Usui/Holy Fire II Reiki Master Teacher, a Registered Holy Fire II Karuna® Reiki Master teacher, and a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher.

      Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring snacks, water, notebook, and pen to class. Students should bring a yoga mat or blanket if they wish to sit or lay on the floor for instruction. Students may bring a portable massage table to class if you have one. A $25 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class for the manual.

      Please note that students must attend both Saturdays in order to receive the certificate of completion from the instructor. A missed class cannot be made up.
      This class meets for 2 Saturdays, September 28 and October 5, from 9:00am - 1:30pm
