Cedar Rapids Improv Festival
The Cedar Rapids Improv Festival will take place at Mount Mercy University’s McAuley Theater on Friday November 22nd and Saturday November 23rd 2019. The festival is sponsored by Mount Mercy’s Begging for Mercy Improv group and Cedar Rapids own semi-professional group, Living Improverty. All proceeds for the event will go directly to Mount Mercy’s Dance Marathon which provides assistance to families with sick children. The festival will feature Improv comedy shows on Friday and Saturday night and a High School Improv Battle on Saturday where two teams perform the same scene suggestion and the best scene moves on in the competition. Come laugh with us and support a good cause!
The schedule of events is as follows:
Friday November 22, 2019- 7pm- Improv show featuring groups from CR Washington High School, Improv Incubator, UNI, and Mount Mercy’s Begging for Mercy- $10.00 adults/$5.00 students
Saturday November 23, 2019- 12pm- High School Improv Battle-$5.00 adults/ $3.00 students
Saturday November 23, 2019-7pm- Improv show featuring Williamsburg HS’s On the Spot, Improv Incubator, and Living Improverty- $10.00 adults/$5.00 students
