      EVENT DETAILS
      Empower Pastors

This event is about 3 things: Educating, Encouraging, and Empowering pastors. A special invitation to youth pastors who are directly influencing the generation of tomorrow.  In addition, all youth workers, volunteers, and youth age leaders are urged to attend Loving on God and loving others is something we know to do, but how do we stand firm on values laid out in the Bible with a culture that is contrary to it? Is it possible to affect and change the culture? How should culture be engaged? Our carefully chosen speakers will focus on information and tools for engaging the next generation. Youth Pastors are highly encouraged to attend.  Bring leading members of your youth group so they are able to help you.  Getting young people educated and involved is an absolute necessity in changing the culture.  If you believe it’s possible to engage and shape the culture, then join us on Tuesday, July 23rd. All PASTORS, LEADERS, and INFLUENCERS are encouraged to attend so they, too, will be ready to engage. Event happens 9:00am - 3:00pm with lunch provided. Stephen Broden - Senior Pastor at Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, TX. He is Co-Founder of the National Black Pro-Life Coalition and President and Founder of Protect Life and Marriage Texas. He has a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters Degree in Bible Study from Dallas Theological Seminar. Nicole Hudgens - Senior Policy Analyst for Texas Values, a nonprofit group dedicated to preserving and advancing faith, family, and freedom in the state of Texas. Nicole Hudgens joined the Texas Values team at the start of the 84th Texas Legislative Session. She has a passion to see the restoration of family values in her generation and the ones to come. Before joining the Texas Values team, Nicole worked for the Heritage Foundation, Family Research Council, and recently for Congressman John Fleming in Washington, D.C. In 2013 Nicole co-hosted a talk radio show covering conservative issues including that year's Texas pro-life omnibus bill and the importance of marriage and family in society. She graduated with a degree in Speech Communication at Louisiana State University, Shreveport in 2011 and is currently earning her master’s degree in Public Policy from Liberty University. Leighann Hutcheson - She has studied mass communications and public relations from Tarleton State University. Her experiences are first-hand of the college environment, what is being taught, and, how professors are suppressing the Christian viewpoint.   Wesley Erickson - Studied Religion, Philosophy & Ethics in London, England, and will talk about the truths of "Flirting with Socialism". Rafael Cruz - is a powerful example of the American Dream. Born in Cuba, Rafael lived and suffered under a cruel, oppressive dictator. He began fighting Batista’s regime as a teenager and was imprisoned and tortured simply because he wanted to be free.   Rafael arrived in Texas in 1957 on a student visa. He got a job as a dishwasher, making 50 cents an hour, and worked his way through the University of Texas, while learning English. He later built a small business in further pursuit of the American Dream. In early 1980, Rafael Cruz joined the State Board of the Religious Roundtable, a Judeo-Christian organization that mobilized millions of people of faith during the Presidential Campaign of Ronald Reagan. He is an ordained minister and the Director of Grace for America, sharing the Word of God in churches and Pastors Conferences throughout the United States and abroad. He is the author of A Time for Action, Empowering the Faithful to Reclaim America. His son, Ted Cruz, is a constitutional conservative U.S. Senator from Texas and former a candidate for United States President. When Ted was a child growing up in Houston, Rafael would tell him, “When we faced oppression in Cuba, I had a place to flee to. If we lose our freedom here, where do we go?” That’s why Rev. Cruz is passionate about returning America to the biblical and historical foundations that made this country exceptional. Jonathan Stickland - A conservative Christian serving his fourth term in the Texas State House for House District 92. He supports limited government, the right to life, individual liberties and personal responsibilities, and most of all strive to represent his constituents. Jonathan was a proud member of the Freedom Caucus, formed in the 85th Legislative Session, but left the Caucus as the 86TH drew to a close. In June he announced he will not run for reelection but promises to stay engaged. Caprice Gatea - From Ranger, Texas she moved to Romania where she has spent most of her life in the mission field changing a nation. She shares her compelling, first-hand view of communism. Jerry Maston - Founder and Senior Pastor of River of Life Church in Eastland, TX. He is the founder of Leadership Always and Director of Christian Values Summits which trains and resources pastors/leaders helping them break barriers and reach their growth potential.
