Save Our Streams Training - Dubuque, IA

Save Our Streams (SOS) is a fun way to test water quality in small streams by collecting chemical data and identifying underwater insects, called macroinvertebrates. The Izaak Walton League is working with the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium to provide a workshop for those who want to become a certified SOS Monitor. Visit for more info about Save Our Streams. Dress for the weather, as we will be doing the field component in rain or shine in the afternoon. Bring your own rubber boots, waders, or old sneakers if you have them (we ask that you avoid using felt soled waders). All classroom and field materials and ID books needed will be provided. Lunch will be provided.  Classes fill up quickly, so register now! For inquiries, contact IWLA Save Our Streams Coordinator Zach Moss at
