About UNITED CARING SERVICES   Since 1991, UCS has successfully provided important relief services that homeless, hungry, and hurting people in our community need to survive - a one of a kind day shelter, emergency night shelters for men and women, and one of a kind white/red flag program. Beyond these vital emergency services, UCS offers essential solutions that prevent and end homelessness helping people to flourish - the Tri-State's first and only medical respite program, permanent housing opportunities, and in the coming months the state's first sobering drop-off/stabilization unit that will divert people with substance use issues and co-occurring mental health issues away from incarceration, our of homelessness, and toward the services they need. Every day, UCS strives to provide lifesaving and life-changing opportunities for relief, rehabilitation, and restoration for our guests and community.
