      The Access Project Information Session - 23/10/19

      Students and staff from Aston University are invited to attend this short information session to find out more about The Access Project and how they can get involved as a volunteer tutor. The Access Project supports bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities through personalised tuition and in-school support which doubles a student’s chances of progressing to a top university. In particular, they are looking for volunteers to tutor in English, Maths and Science.  Volunteer tutors should meet the following requirements: Have A Level grade B or above in the subject they wish to tutor at GCSE. Have a good degree qualification in the subject the wish to tutor at A Level. Be able to spare 1 hour a week in school term time over the next academic year to tutor, plus 30 minutes per week preparation time (students will travel to Aston University library to be tutored). Be prepared to undertake an enhanced DBS check and offer two references (personal or professional).
