Agri-Tech Goes Hunter - GPS Cows Workshop (Twilight)

Teacher PD Workshop presented by CQUniversity Australia -  The session will be a presentation about on-animal sensors and our GPS Cows program. The aim of GPS Cows is to increase the knowledge and skills of high school students in emerging agri-tech, specifically tools and systems which provide animal location and behaviour data, and to encourage them to consider tertiary study and a career in the agricultural sector.  This will be followed by “Meet the MEAT” Learn how to pick the best steak and all of the factors that affect meat quality and taste! During this session, you will learn some basic meat judging terminology and concepts, how to identify different cuts of meat, where different cuts of meat come from and the factors that affect the overall meat quality. Discover how to be the best judge by assessing a selection of meat based on appearance, texture and finally taste! There will be an opportunity to taste red meat if you wish to participate.
