The Early Days of Brisbane Water

Come along to Erina Library in Adult Learners’ Week as Geoffrey Potter, Local History Librarian, presents the early history of the Brisbane Water district. Settled by Europeans relatively late when compared to Sydney and Newcastle, Brisbane Water had already seen many thousands of years of aboriginal life. Shell-gatherers, timber-getters and shipbuilders were among the settlers who came to the area from the 1820s onwards.  As places are limited, bookings are required. Please book online by clicking on the register link, ask in any library branch or phone 4304 7650.
