      Be the first to hear about the most exciting upcoming releases in Australian publishing, learn about how to plan book related events that meet the needs of your community, and how to break the marketing mould to reach your audience. This professional development seminar for NSW public library staff will be packed with ideas and information that attendees can take back and implement at their libraries. The program will be of particular interest to Marketing, Programs and Collections staff, but all public library staff are welcome to attend. THIS EVENT IS FUNDED BY THE STATE LIBRARY NSW AND IS A FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR NSW PUBLIC LIBRARY STAFF. Morning Tea will be provided. A range of lunch options are available within the adjoining shopping centre.   DRAFT PROGRAM (subject to change) Registration from 9:00am for a 9:20am start Publisher Showcases: The most exciting upcoming releases in Australian Publishing from Allen & Unwin, Hachette, HarperCollins and Pan Macmillan. How to facilitate a successful 'In Conversation' style event: with professional interviewer and facilitator Michaela Kalowski. LBGTQI+ safe spaces: offering inclusive programming and creating a safe and welcoming environment of LGBTQI+ communities. The Australian Reading Hour: program ideas and partnership opportunities What makes an Author Event sucessful: a panel discussion featuring library staff, an author, a bookseller and a publicist.  Nielsen Bookscan: trends in Australian booksales. Breaking the Libraryland Mould: Real-World Marketing for Real Results 4:30pm close   Transport and Parking  Woollahra Library is accessible by the following Sydney Bus routes: 323, 324, 325, 326. The nearest train station is Edgecliff. Plan your trip at Transport NSW. 1 hour free parking is available in Kiaora Place car park. Free street parking is also available in surrounding streets.
