      Tackling Fussy Eating

      Are your kids fussy, or unwilling to try new foods? Have mealtimes become a common source of stress for you as a parent? Are you concerned that your child's fussy eating is getting in the way of them not eating enough?  Join one of the Central Coast’s leading dietitians and nutritionists, Nicole Saliba, for an interactive seminar on how to tackle fussy eating. Although a completely normal part of development, fussy eating can quickly become a stressful experience for parents and kids. Its important for parents to be aware that fussy eating is a normal part of a children's development and growing independence. Meal times are a common source of stress for parents but they don't need to be. Its important to remember that all kids are more-or-less picky about food. All foods are new to them and it takes time and positive eating experiences for them to learn to eat them. Being a fussy eater should be seen as a normal part of a toddler’s development and not a 'problem' to fix. How we deal with  a child’s fussy eating as parents and carers is the most important thing to focus on. Nicole will be presenting an interactive 90 minute seminar covering topic such as; 1.  Setting up a positive meal-time environment 2.  How and when to offer new foods 3. The division of responsibility in feeding. Learn how to take charge with the what, when and where of feeding and let your child determine how much and whether to eat of what your provide  4. How to encourage and role model healthy eating 5.
