Vision & The Art of Seeing- Ho Chi Minh City

In this master class, Professor Comas will compare the vision of great artists and change-making business leaders.   Contemporary business leaders create powerful visions for their organizations, inspiring people to view the world differently.  The class will explore the stories of business leaders, seeing as they see, understanding how they have communicated their ideas and changed contemporary life through their endeavors. In addition, the class will look at great artists who are masters of vision, painting powerful images that capture our imagination and show us what and how to see.  There will be an creative exercise, where participants will engage as visionaries to develop an organization, or a new project within an existing organization, that can change people’s lives and mark a new path for business and its leadership in the 21st century.    ABOUT THE SPEAKER Sandra Comas teaches Leadership and Creativity at IE Business School and recently enjoyed a year as Visiting Scholar at Brown University. Professor Comas has taught at Yale, Stanford, the City University of New York,  Singapore Management University, and IE Business School.   She is a consultant in Leadership Practices, and has worked with multiple organizations, including  IPG Mediabrands, Gotham Asset Management, Buhler, Digital Energy and Konstantine’s.   For ten years Professor Comas specialized in finance, managing $1 billion in portfolios for TIAA-CREF, earning #1 in the U.S. in client relations, and working also in client relations and asset gathering at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.  While working in the financial services industry, Dr. Comas became interested in joining the insights of the humanities with the real-life opportunities for great leadership and creativity in our professional worlds. Her research and teaching focuses on building effective leadership.
