      adoption and foster care counseling & preparation for 25+ years.

      Ithaca, NY -- 9/16/2019: Ithaca-based documentary film and educational media production company PhotoSynthesis Productions (PSP), will premiere the latest entry in their long-running and award-winning Living Adoption Series of educational videos, “Foster Parents Speak: Real Talk About Partnership and Building Community” at Cinemapolis. Showtime is 7pm on September 23rd, 2019. Admission is free. More info on the Cinemapolis website.

      Featuring new interviews and new stories from real people whose lives have been shaped by foster care, this latest installment provides needed updates to reflect the rapidly changing nature and perceptions of foster care in today’s society. Designed for folks considering foster care or adoption and the professionals who work with them, PSP’s Living Adoption Series is widely considered to be the gold standard of educational and counseling tools in the adoption and foster care community.

      Foster Parents Speak was made in collaboration with Adoptive and Foster Care Coalition of New York (AFFCNY), who is producing a film guide for use in trainings and workshops. The filmmakers, AFFCNY staff and members of the cast will be present for a conversation after the screening of the 30-minute film.
