      The Fall Night Sky

      The Night Sky Series is a lecture series designed for beginners to experienced amateur astronomers, ages high school and above through the Taylor Observatory / Norton Planetarium. Each class begins in the Norton Planetarium with a one-hour lecture, which will include: How to locate seasonal constellations A look into astrological mythology The telescopic wonders that can be found in the night sky After the lecture, the Taylor Observatory telescopes will be utilized to locate the constellations. This series covers the constellations prominent in the night sky during the fall season. A "series ticket" is available for purchase until September 25, 2019 for $75 and will guarantee you a seat at all lectures (Please click on "Select A Date" and then choose "September 25" to purchase a "series ticket.") The cost for single lecture tickets is $15. Individual lecture tickets are available at no-cost to Lake County high school students.
