At the sign of the Dancing Fox XXII

Those crafty foxes, they’ve mustered a boarding party and hope everyone will set sail for Dancing Fox XXII, a Pirate Palooza!

Once again the lilting airs of the Bhakaili Branslers will set toes to tapping as we gather at the sign of the Dancing Fox.

Our amazing dance masters, led by Lady Lorita de Siena, will teach the intricacies of terpsichorean grace.

      A & S:

DESSERT CHALLENGE --Update-- No Chocolate as the Queen will be in attendance!

Brigitte has issued her dessert challenge!  Entrants should bring a dessert (or desserts, you may enter more than once) to fit into:

Foxes:  Foxes know a little about a lot of things.  They are also tricksters, so entries in this category with less than authoritative documentation, and perhaps not fit into a particular period of the Middle Ages or Renaissance.

Hedgehogs:  Hedgehogs know a lot about one thing.  These entries will be held to a higher degree of scrutiny, and should have full documentation and come from a particular period of the Middle Ages or Renaissance.

Brigitte and her panel of judges will sample all entries, but desserts will be shared by all guests of the event!  Questions may be directed to Brigitte (as listed below.)

Yes, for those who like to fabricate fancy finery, a faux fox will be provided along with fabric of all types, and you will get to design persona stories and garb for your furred friend and enter a fashion show at the end of the day.  (You may bring your own fabric, etc.) We are asking that, should you desire for you new friend to go home with you, we hope you will make a $10 donation to help defray the cost of supplying plushies.  The winner will get a special surprise from the autocrat!

Follow the link to measurements of Magnus Vulpes!  He loves his finery.  Folks are challenged to create new attire for him.  For this challenge you may begin work at home with your own material and finish at the event, or create the item totally at the event with your own materials or materials we supply.  There will be an accolade for the best outfits!  See the diagram for the great fox’s dimensions.

      Silent Auction:
To help us make up for the shortfall due to not having a raffle this year, there will be a Silent Auction to benefit Dancing Fox at the event.  We will be accepting donations to auction (contact the autocrat) and we ask that you bid generously and frequently!

Parking is at a premium.  If you are arriving by automobile, please check out the handy dandy Parking Map:

NB:  Only snail mail and email reservations sent to the Reservation Steward (Lady Celeste) will be accepted.  Please include your SCA name, legal name and member number with your reservation request.  Feast reservations will be held until 3 PM.  Unless specifically requested in your advanced reservation, reservations not trolled by 3PM will be opened to the waiting list.

      Site Opens: 10 am
      Site Closes: 10PM

Please get reservations in not later than:  January 15th, 2020

Feast:  Feast is also donations only.
