To celebrate its 28th annual Seneca Heritage Day, Middlesex Heritage Group is pleased to announce Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner as the guest speaker for this year’s theme, “Sisters in Spirit.” Dr. Wagner will speak about the influence of Haudenosaunee women on the suffrage movement.
In addition attendees of this FREE event will be able to watch a performance of Iroquois Social Dancing by the Allegany River Dancers led by Bill Crouse (Seneca) in full regalia.

Awarded one of the first doctorates in the country for work in women’s studies and a founder of one of the first college-level women’s studies program in the United States, Dr. Wagner currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in The Renée Crown University Honors Program, Syracuse University and the St. John Fisher Executive Leadership Program. She also was founder and executive director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation.
