      Please join us for two master musicians accompanied by tabla prodigy, Aditya Phatak. Reserved seating via EventBrite tickets. Space is limited.Barun Kumar Pal, a world-renowned artist, hails from a family of eminent names amongst the senior and current generation of Indian classical musicians. Barun Pal is one of the foremost disciples of Sitar Maestro Bharat Ratna Pt.Ravi Shankar.Steve GornSteve is an accomplished Indian Classical flutist who studied with the late bansuri master Sri Gour Goswami, of Kolkata, and Pt. Raghunath Seth of Mumbai, who he often accompanied in concert. His numerous recordings include Luminous Ragas, Rasika, (with tabla by Samir Chatterjee,) Illuminations, (with Nepali bansuri wallah, Manose,) the landmark Indian-Jazz fusion recording, Asian Journal, and Pranam, a jugalbandi with Barun Kumar Pal playing hansaveena, and Samir Chatterjee, tabla.Steve has also recorded with Paul Simon and Paul Winter.Aditya PhatakAditya Phatak is a young student of Indian music, with special aptitude in Tabla. He started playing at the age of two, even before he was tall enough to reach the drums. He was initially inspired by his grandfather Deepak Phatak and guided by his uncle Shivraj Phatak. Since February of 2008, when he was four years old, he came under the loving mentorship of Pt. Samir Chatterjee in the formal Guru- Shishya (master-disciple) relationship. He is also studying Hindustani Classical vocal music with Smt. Rucha Jambhekar.
