      Introduction to Roblox Development: 6th-12th Grade

      Learn one of the most popular programming languages Surpassing Minecraft, Roblox now has over 100 Million active monthly users.  Your kid has most likely played games on Roblox – all of which were created by developers using Roblox Studio.  They may have even asked for you to buy Robux (Roblox’s online currency), a portion of which goes to those very developers.  Join us for an introductory evening to learn about creating games that could be played by any Roblox player in the world.     Activities Learn the basics of navigating Roblox Studio Learn internet safety and basic guidelines for being safe on Roblox Create scripts using LUA - Roblox's built-in scripting language Who Should Take This Class Age: 6th-12th GradePrerequisite: Basic knowledge of computers and how to save/open files. Experience with Roblox on PC is recommended. Your Host The lead host will be Ryan Hunter, instructor and co-founder of TechWise Academy. What should I bring to the event? The courses offered are for females and males, beginners and advanced, and students from all social-economic backgrounds.
