IF THIS EVENT SELLS OUT...please email KHedgepath@marketcommonmb.com or call 843-839-3500 to be placed on a waiting list.   The Market Common Local Ghosts, Historic Folk & Pirates Tour will be held Tuesday, October 29th, from 2 - 4 PM. Guests will board a trolley for a two-hour narrated tour that will take them from The Market Common in Myrtle Beach to Murrells Inlet, SC, where they will see Brookgreen Gardens, Atalaya—the fortress-like former beach home of the Huntingtons at what is now the state park that bears their name, and Murrells Inlet’s Historic Waterfront. While aboard, they will hear our area’s most beloved ghost stories, pirate tales and interesting accounts of historic figures who were once here.   Meet the trolley at 1:50 PM in front of the Grand 14 Cinema, at Deville and Reed Streets at The Market Common. The tour will depart at 2 PM and includes two stops. The first will be a brief stop at Brookgreen Gardens in order to introduce you to this local treasure. You will NOT be touring Brookgreen Gardens, but are highly encouraged to return when you have more time to do so. At the second stop, you will be given a walking tour of Atalaya at Huntington Beach State Park. Afterwards, the trolley will return to The Market Common, by way of Murrells Inlet’s Historic Waterfront, at 4 PM for a half-hour reception featuring samples from a few of The Market Common eateries.  Tickets to any of the three local history trolley tours that The Market Common offers, as well as our 30th Anniversary Celebration of SHAG (the movie made and set in Myrtle Beach) make popular gifts. Go to our website at www.marketcommonmb.com for details about our Military History Trolley Tour, our Early Myrtle Beach & The War Years Trolley Tour, the SHAG Celebration and other fun events.
