      INDIGO FEST Join us for a farm to fiber 2nd annual Indigo Fest workshop with natural dye growers & artists Kara Gilbs, Iris Sullivan Daire, and Brittany Boles! Learn how to grow and process fresh Japanese Indigo and achieve seafoam blues and emerald greens on silk and wool. We'll demo pigment extraction methods for indigo and indirubin for deep blues and rare purples. You'll dye a beautiful fresh indigo silk scarf and handkerchief, take home indigo cuttings to collect seeds for your dye garden, and a booklet with fresh leaf recipes, pigment extraction tips, and more.  Details: Sunday, September 22nd 10am-1pm at North Fork 53 Farm Class $110 Materials Fee $35 Total ticket price= $145 Want to make it a weekend? North Fork 53 is located off of HWY 53 in Nehalem. Ample parking available just follow the red sign to the left side of the big red barn.  What can I bring into the event?  Dress comforatably for an afternoon on the farm.
