Parinama: An Invitation to Long-term, Intentional Change

Change is the only constant in life. Yet, it is often something we resist, especially when it arrives suddenly and runs counter to what we think we want. We become attached to our familiar routines, to our joys, and sometimes even to our pain. This year, we have had so much change thrust upon us that you might ask, “Why would I invite more change into my life?” Well, this year has dramatically heightened our awareness that change will happen, and that keen awareness can be the catalyst for intentionally transforming our lives in ways that we do want and may have wanted for years.
In this workshop, our goals are to explore our responses to change, open ourselves to the possibility of living the lives we dream of and to invite ourselves to step into those lives. We will support our dreams and this journey by identifying simple practices that, over time, can transform our lives into the ones our hearts’ desire.
Our practice will include lecture/discussion about the yogic perspective on impermanence, gentle floor asana to unblock energetic pathways, guided meditation, breathwork, chant, mudras, and introspective exercises.
