      EVENT DETAILS
Depression and Bipolar Support Group for Women

A free confidential support group for WOMEN ONLY with depression or bipolar disorder. The usual size of the group is 8-12 women. We take turns telling our stories and how our week went. Then the other members offer support, advice or tell how they handled a similar situation. We talk about a wide range of subjects: work, family, legal issues, suicide, Social Security Disability, medication, and how families and friends don’t quite understand what we go through. This is a peer-led support group, not a therapy group. We stay in the present, we do not address past traumas, only how you are dealing with it NOW. Drop-ins Welcome, no registration required. Meetings every Saturday Noon until 2pm. Salem Hospital, Building A (Same Building as the Emergency Room), Sixth Floor, Room A61. For more information call Marta at 503-588-8242.
