Peggy Lou Feldmeier Lunchtime Lecture: Onondaga Lake: Biological Recovery & Our Evolving Science Center

Neil H. Ringler, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor and Vice Provost and Executive Director of the Onondaga Lake Science Center, is the Peggy Lou Feldmeire Lunchtime Lecture speaker at the Erie Canal Museum on Monday, July 1 at 12 p.m. During this special presentation, Dr. Ringler will discuss factors that affected the ecology of Onondaga Lake, the fish and other species the lake supported in the past and present, the Erie Canal’s impact on the lake, and efforts to reintroduce some of the fish that once lived there. His talk will also focus on the evolution of the new Onondaga Lake Science Center, scheduled to open in 2021. The program will take place at the Erie Canal Museum, 318 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse. Admission is $5, and there is no charge for Museum members. This program coincides with Water/Ways, a Smithsonian Institution Museum on Main Street exhibit opening at the Erie Canal Museum in late June. We hope you'll join us!
