      HVRWA Presents: A Day in the Life of Your Next Protagonist: Dating Coach Karenna Alexander

      Ever consider writing a novel featuring a dating coach or matchmaker? Here's a chance to get the fact straight from someone who's been there and done that. The Hudson Valley Romance Writer's speaker, dating coach and former matchmaker Karenna Alexander, will discuss such topics as how differently men and women act in the dating arena, the differences between matchmaking and coaching, and an inside look inside the matchmaking process. Question and Answer period follows talk. YOU MUST RSVP SO WE HAVE ADEQUATE SEATING.

      Here's the meeting schedule:

      10:00am: Chapter business meeting--those interested in joining will learn what goes into running the organization.

      Around 11:00 am, we will feature Jim Alkon, who will speak about author publicity opportunities with BookTrib.

      11:30 am: Karenna Alexander will share her insights.

      1:00 pm Optional lunch at a restaurant in the mall.

      More on Karenna Alexander:

      Karenna is an Ivy-educated journalist turned dating expert who helps women weed out time-wasters, date with self-esteem, and find love.
      She became a certified dating coach after solving dating dilemmas of her own.

      A former hard news reporter, covering high-profile criminal trials, Karenna has a graduate degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She’s also a former matchmaker, certified by the Matchmaking Institute of New York City.

      Cost: $5.00, cash at door, credited toward $25 membership fee if desired
