      Successful Soldering Techniques One-Day Workshop

Successful Soldering Techniques for a Confident Jeweler Let me be your mentor. With over 45 years in the field, studying with numerous American and European masters, I would love to share what I’ve learned to help make your experience in metals less intimidating and all the more rewarding. This one day workshop is designed for the intermediate level jeweler who wants to improve soldering skills along with other essential techniques. This would be an excellent way to get back into working with metal if it’s been awhile for you. I will share helpful hints and tricks and assist you with ways to approach your work. Bring unfinished projects or material for a new piece. We can share information and answer questions in a group as well as have time for individual assistance. $79 workshop fee does not include sterling silver. This can be purchased during the workshop. (For safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) We will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. Bring your own lunch or check out one of the local restaurants in the area. Instructor: Paula taught high school pottery and jewelry for 34 years in Massachusetts before relocating to Brunswick in 2017. She was also a jeweler-in-residence in the English Lake District for two years. She studied metals in Oregon and San Diego during a sabbatical year and has taken summer courses at Haystack, Penland, Arrowmont, California College of Arts and Crafts as well as silversmithing classes in Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and the UK.
